= England and Britain are not synonymous. The UK has four British nations, Scotland, England, Ulster and Wales, each with their own histories, rich in story. There is, if I remember rightly, a Bank of Scotland. So why put the UK's flag where the English flag was, on the Bank of England logo, and indeed why transform that serious lady depicted there into something like a chick aggrieved at not being asked for a dance? If these damfools want to be really 'inclusive,' then presumably the next step will be to erase those crosses from the logo altogether. = 
After all, arrogant alien-origin misfits have raised that demand in other countries. |
