The police had to use teargas to stop outraged Super Eagles fans as they ripped the stadium apart and threw objects at players after Nigeria vs Ghana game.

Nigeria drew 1-1 with Ghana in a crucial qualifier at the Abuja National Stadium ending Nigeria's hopes of reaching the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

The calmer Nigerians that did not storm the pitch watched in disbelief as dugouts were ripped from the ground and various items were launched at players from both sides as they tried to race down the tunnel to take refuge in the dressing rooms.

When police arrived on the scene, they began beating the rioters with batons and ultimately used tear gas on the fans to disperse them. That is one mass tantrum!
