Last week, three Fine Gael junior ministers wrote an article proposing a €1,000 tax break for workers in autumn's budget. Standing alongside his constituency colleague, Fine Gael TD Alan Farrell, he claimed the events of the last week had been overplayed. Mr O'Brien said the best place to put a budget together was at Cabinet, saying it will be in keeping with the agreed Programme for Government. Very good. What did Deputy Farrell say though?
