That's the most for her campaign so far and it marks the most money raised in a single quarter by any candidate for an open Congressional seat in Delaware history. She will need the money to run ads in the expensive Philadelphia media market. Her opponent, Eugene Young, has not yet released his first quarter numbers. "I could not be more humbled by the outpouring of support that our campaign has received this quarter," said Senator McBride in response to the news. "From unions to small business owners, statewide elected officials to small-town mayors, I am confident we are building the diverse coalition of supporters necessary to win this fall.
