BULAWAYO - It was in the mid morning of Sunday 17 October 2021, and the sun was beating down mercilessly. A message on the phone reflected, it was from the Highlanders FC's official Media Whatsapp Group.
However, reasons for the invitation were not specified or mentioned in the message. But upon reading it, clearly it was a surprise invitation to their offices located along Robert Gabriel Mugabe Way in Bulawayo.
Following the hasty invitation, this promised to be an event of great significance, and for sure, it was. On arrival at the venue, two luxury vehicles signaled the importance of the occasion.
