Disclaimer… this post maybe contextual only for readers in the USA.
Background for readers form other counties. When you list a house for sale here in the United States, it is a norm tor the listing to be published online on multiple websites, like the website of the listing agent, popular aggregators like Redfin and Zillow. All of these listing details comes form a central Multiple Listing Service which in the Seattle region is called NWMLS.
Once you buy the house.. the house is marked as sold but the interior staging pictures still continue to be visible to public.
I noticed there were some houses where the interior pictures were not visible and I wanted that to happen for the house we bought last year and currently live in.
So I went about trying to figure out the process of hiding the interior listing pictures form public.
So the process is pretty straightforward. If you are the owner of a house, in the seattle region you can drop an email to listinginput@nwmls.com and tell them your like to hide the pictures from public and they can change the setting and viola they are gone from public view!
So if you are a home owner in the PNW regions which falls under NWMLS.. you now know the process of getting your house pictures out of public view.
Cheers
