Here's a delightful little primer on theological liberalism from the 1980s British sitcom Yes, Prime Minister.
Exaggerated? Of course—that's how comedy works. But look at how close it comes to the vision of the UCC's Center for Progressive Renewal; yes, they do appear to believe in God, but they make no explicit mention of the orthodox Christian gospel, and implicitly deny it.
Further to the left (surprisingly possible), consider the Unitarian Universalist Association: they're not even actually unitarian anymore. Far enough downstream, the 'Christian' left flows into outright paganism.
Christian orthodoxy is about being actually Christian, firmly rooted in the truth, faithfully rooted in He who is "the way, and the truth, and the life" (John 14:6, ESV).
Jesus is Lord.
