Thursday lunch with Greer

It is Thursday and I am going to have lunch today with Greer. I did go out this morning as my male self with my nails and got home about 9:30am so I had about 1 1/2 hours to get ready for lunch as Greer is picking me up a little after 11am. We are going to lunch at Twigs bistro on the Vancouver waterfront. Now I did contact her to see what she was wearing and she plans on a skirt so I decided I would wear my black skirt and maroon top which lead to another question, shoes so I contacted her again and she is wearing black boots with about a 1" heel so I will wear my ankle bits with 3" heels, they are really cute. So with this planned I knew how I wanted to do my makeup, yes there is a lot more thought and effort when Susan goes out verses my male side. I took my time and used my brick red lipstick and rose-colored eye shadow pallet. I was all ready just before 11am so I got a couple pictures. Now fir a good year I parked in the drive way and would walk out to my car as Susan but today will be the first time someone has picked me up. Greer showed up about 11:10am, I saw her pull in so I grabbed my purse and coat and out the front door I went. I have said before it is more fun to ride together and she doesn't live that far away from me and yes a few years back I didn't even want people to know what city I lived in let alone my actual address.

I got in the car and we were off and I did wonder if any of my neighbors noticed. It was only about a 15 minute drive but was nice to sit and talk as we went. In my mind though I was thinking this must be what it is like for a lady to be picked up as being male I was always the one driving and picking up the girl. Greer has actually been going out with friends all week as she is celebrating this week and it turns out today January 26^th is actually her birthday so lunch is for her to celebrate. This was awesome as 2 days ago was my birthday and I went out with friends to dinner at Oswego Grill. We got downtown Vancouver at 11:25 and parked in the lot right across the street yes parking during the daytime is way easier. It was just a short walk across the street and we were there.

Greer had made reservations but they were not busy at all, I think dinner is a bigger thing down here. We were shown to our table and our waitress came and took our order. I ordered their fish and chips. There are several restaurants down here and so far I have only eaten at Wildfin with Julie so it will be nice to try another place. This place is really nice but a little more casual than Wildfin but very ice inside and the staff including our waitress was awesome. our food came and mine was really good, the fish was perfect the batter just a little greasy but then it is deep fried, over all I would recommend it if you like fish and chips. I did order a cheesecake for dessert as Greer said she would have some and I figured it was a nice way to celebrate both our birthday and our waitress told us how good it was. well Greer only had a couples bites and I didn't eat much more as todays special Cheesecake was espresso flavor and neither one of us like espresso. I guess that is one way to cut desserts out. I did get a to go box for it as our waitress was so nice I didn't want to tell her we didn't like it. we sat and talked after lunch for a while before we paid our bills and left. It really didn't seem like we were there that long but it was almost 1:30 now. We talked on the way back to mu house, Greer is actually meeting another friend at Twigs tomorrow also. It was a very nice lunch. Greer dropped me off at my house and again it was a different feeling getting out of the car, I am not use to being the passenger as I really do like to be the driver, but there was a nice feeling about being picked up and dropped off.

I went inside and touched up my makeup and did think about changing but the skirt and top and ankle boots was a cute look. I decided to take my computer and go to the Starbucks I usually go to on Sunday's for a little while. I got there about 2:30pm and went in and got a table along the window. They were actually really busy and yes most looked like high school kids and yes most were female. Now I did write a bog this morning that was a little on the political side and as always I never post these right away as I wanted to have time to think about it and make any changes so I spent a little time on it making it sound better and more thoughtful. To try and keep them in chronological order I will post it Friday evening. I also wrote my blog from Wednesday nights dinner at Olive Garden which I will post in the morning. It was a relaxing afternoon. The other thing is I was really looking at my nails today and enjoying them. I will only have 2 more days as I will have to get the color removed on Saturday and that will be sad. They are not real long 1/4 inch, but I have come to realize they are the perfect shape and the length with the red looks awesome. I really do wish it was common for men to have nice nails as my hands do look so perfect right now.

I stayed here till about 6pm before leaving and I stopped at Panda Express to get something to eat. They were a little busy so I had to stand in line. When I finally got up to order they had run out of fried rice and it was going to be about 5 minutes so I said I would wait. I paid and then stood back as I waited for my order. The lady I usually see working here must have been off tonight so I had to tell them how I wanted the sauce on mine. As I stood here waiting a man I know came in with his wife but he was standing in line behind 3 people and the fried rice was just coming out so I figured I would get my order before he ever got up to order his so I wasn't worried as we were 50 feet apart. I got my food and left and went home and had dinner and watched TV till about 11 before washing away Susan and going to bed. tomorrow I will be up early again as I want to hit the gym at 6am so I have a little time to stop at a Starbucks with my nails on the way home. Tomorrow I am meeting Sasha at Washington square to pass on the many bags of clothes I have from Nicole at 11:30am so I need to start getting ready as Susan by 9:30am at the latest. It was a good day but this week has gone by s fast. I have 2 more week of vacation to use by the end of April and would like to use one to go visit Julie but am deciding if I should do just one long one and have beautiful nails for 2 weeks straight or break them up and maybe try a different color on one of the week. I really do love the red but is seems I get it every time. just something I am thinking about.
