Deer have survived as a species because they are extra cautious around water bodies. They understand the risk of being attacked, and take all measures to ensure their safety.
Someone said
the meek shall inherit the earth
bare survival through centuries
or a mention in history
for a stupendous act
which may be termed
brave or bravado
by perspectives
to build a narrative
deering it through life
with extra caution
she often wondered
If she will be remembered
and for what?
but greater adventures
could lead to disasters
painting her story with tar
breaking the narrative ajar
A window that lives in the wall
eggs her on to jump out
face the demons out there
and write a different story
So what…..
if the response is ridicule
It won't be a feat miniscule
giving a chance to life
getting a chance to live
like that window
which stays in place
but sees and feels skies
both grey and azure
lets the sun, moon and stars
enter dark corners of history
unravel hidden treasures
before they disintegrate
untried, unmeasured…
