So
'...well-intentioned..?'

Deborah Haynes
That's how Deborah Haynes, Security and Defence Editor of Sky, describes the appalling behaviour of Wigston...
000
...in her report on how a survey of morale 'found a mere 18% of aviators had confidence in the senior leadership of the RAF in 2023, sharply down from 36% in 2021 https://news.sky.com/story/confidence-in-raf-chief-and-his-leadership-team-hits-rock-bottom-survey-reveals-12894492
And elsewhere in the media?
Wigston 'admits air force made mistakes in its diversity recruitment drive?''
So says the Daily Mail, but does the man really think he can shuffle off the blame so carelessly?

Air Chief Marshal Wigston
....
Was he ORDERED to implement that wokoid, completely unnecessary 'diversity' drive?
By Woko-Wallace, perhaps?

Ben Wallace MP ... |
If so, Wingfield should have shown a bit of backbone, refused to acquiesce in the institutional racialisation of the RAF...
...and quit before the Woko-Tories fired him.
And won the hearts of every honest patriot in the land.
...
But Wigston was not fired, nor did he quit..
Methinks Wigston was ready and eager to collaborate with the Enemy Within, for he says himself..
'We were doing all we could to tackle this intractable problem, which is the lack of diversity in our service.'
What a load of hogwash!
.

.
In what conceivable way is 'lack of diversity' any kind of 'problem?'
Recruiting is done by advertising, posters, etc. so presumably only literate people are likely to be attracted, as acceptable recruits to any branch of HM Forces.
Men and women of all ethnicities in the UK get free schooling, so have no excuse for not being literate.
They are all, of course, also free to apply to the RAF.
Whether their applications are successful depends on how they demonstrate their commitment, their ability, their aptitude, their eagerness to serve their country.
It does not depend on their ethnic origins.
If there's a black girl or a brown man whose scores are high enough, no reason to refuse them.
Do you care what colour a pilot is, if he can shoot down your country's enemies?
But the Chief of the Air Staff admitted that..
'...his goals had been for 40 per cent of the force's personnel to be women and 20 per cent to be to from ethnic minorities by the end of the decade..'
Why?
That's not 'well-intentioned!'
That's racialising the RAF!
...senior officers suggested RAF training places should be filled by 'any remaining women and EMs [Ethnic Minorities] that are ready' even if the candidates are not 'first past the post...
