On Islamic Law

In "Constitutionalism and Islamic Law: A Critique of M. H. Kamali's Approach" (Tanazur Research Journal 4, no. 2 (2023)), Muhammad Rafeeq Shinwari (Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University) argues that the "metaphysics and ingredients of the modern state" are "radically contradicting with Islam."
In "Rediscovery and Revival in Islamic Environmental Law: Back to The Future of Nature's Trust" (Manchester Journal of Transnational Islamic Law & Practice 19, no. 3 (2023)), Muhammad Wajid Munir (International Islamic University, Islamabad - Department of Law) argues that "Samira Idllalène explores the ecological dimension of Islamic law through the lens of comparative law to revive Islamic environmental law and suggests a roadmap for the Atmospheric Trust Doctrine in her book Rediscovery and Revival in Islamic Environmental Law: Back to the Future of Nature's Trust."

On Islam and Data Science

In "Islamic ADR in Britain: Diversity, Hybridity, and Women's Experiences of Community Justice" (Law and Religion, November 30, 2023), Fouzia Azzouz (University of Bristol) argues, "[b]ased on new empirical research conducted with women users and service providers," that "religious actors frequently move back and forth between counselling, negotiating, mediating, and arbitrating within one case and one setting" in the context of Islamic law-based alternative dispute resolution.
