By the grace of God, I'm making some plans for this blog in 2024. Hopefully they will happen. So let's try shall we?
Supporting You
I started the end of 2023 in the right way by trying to become more consistent when it comes to reading your lovely blogs. And it seems that I have done a pretty good job with that. But, we still have some improvements to make. So that's what we will try to continue to work on for 2024 as well. I love supporting and encouraging any of you when I can. Just like I know you love doing the same for me. Love is beautiful like that. So if I can keep doing that consistently, then that would be wonderful.
Posting more/Interacting more with you
2023 started out active for me, and then I went away and disappeared. Though the context for that happening was necessary, that time and season has now passed. It's time for my presence to shine more in this space. But, it's taken me quite sometime to figure out how I can do this more consistently. And thankfully, I now know the answer. Weekly check ins/updates on what's going on with me in between writings sounds like a pretty good solution to me don't you think?
Brand Change
Whether I like it or not, a brand change is probably going to need to happen for my blog to grow. And by grow, I don't mean traffic at the moment. I'm talking about identity. And In order for this blog to further blossom into what it should become, I more than likely will need to leave the old name behind. And bring in a new branding that reflects more of what this blog actually is already, and also help it more reflect on what it should become.
Recovery
Continuing in my recovery from Pornography Addiction is obviously very important in my life currently. In late 2022, to early 2023, I fell some, and got back up, and then fell as hard as I could back to worse than rock bottom again. So, those circumstances taught me where I was messing things up at, and now I've learned from them and moved forward. I may share some of those lessons I've learned in some posts this year if context deems it necessary.
Challenging Christian Nationalism
In my spare time currently over the last year, I've been going even harder than I ever have been before in my biblical scholarship studies. And when it comes to the topic of Christian Nationalism, as the 2024 election cycle is now approaching us here in the United States, there is a very high probability that this movement will come back up out of their hiding places and make another resergence supporting the next candidate that they feel will benefit their cause. I'm blessed enough to now have enough confidence, along with the knowledge of being well equipped enough to talk about this issue from a perspective that I don't think is heard enough. I've had in on my heart for a long time over the past year, and now I feel as if the time is right for me to speak out on it. Although I'm just a laymen, and not a biblical scholar, I will do my best to try to speak out on this issue effectively in a responsible manner.
Maybe start a YouTube Channel or Podcast?
I've wanted to start a podcast and YouTube Channel for over 2 years now. I even made my first video around two years ago and I never published it. I also made a first podcast trailer and episode in early 2023. So apparently, the time just wasnt right for both of those things. But now, I'm starting to feel like this can actually happen effectively within the coming year hopefully. So I'm not making any promises, but we shall see.
A New Poetry Series
And last but not least, during my disappearance even though I wasn't posting, I was still privately writing during that period of time. This poetry series has been something that I've been working on for a long time, and it's finally starting to take enough shape to hopefully start the process of being able to share it with you beautiful people soon. I feel like this series might just be the perfect closeout to my previous blogging brand that I have now currently. So I'll leave it there for now so I don't give too much details away.
Moving Forward
2024 plans for me overall in my personal and public life, have an overall theme of moving forward. Moving forward from my past, and trying to live in the moment and be present with each day I'm blessed to be given. It's a very simple, but also very complicated venture all in one. And 2023 had this weird aspect of being both one of the best, and one of the worst years of my entire life. So I'm just ready to move forward, it's that simple. And my hope is that I can continue to share some more of myself with each of you as we move into 2024.
