Wow, an enjoyable read from CNN? . . A rare treat, till you get to the whiners, whom I've largely omitted. But if you like what Texas has done to clean out junk-think, as reported here.... . . The university's Multicultural Engagement Center…
A rare treat, till you get to the whiners, whom I've largely omitted.
But if you like what Texas has done to clean out junk-think, as reported here....
.
.
The university's Multicultural Engagement Center, which housed many of these groups, has closed.
A lecture from an LGBTQ advocate was canceled, the advocate told CNN.
And the university has removed words such as "gender," "sexuality," and "diversity" from the titles of some offices, according to faculty and university officials.
....you really ought to read the whole report, which reveals, shockingly, thatUT Austin has been in the habit of splurging money ($25k p.a )...
.
...
...for 40 students, activists in a 'Black Student Alliance,' to swan off to a 'Big 12 Conference on Black Student Government...to network and share experiences and resources.'
Half a century or more since desegregation of American education, there's still apparently an ' annual Black student graduation...,'
..
.
...and presumably, like the 1950s facility in the photo, it's "for coloreds only?'
One might have hoped such racialised activities would long ago have fallen into disuse...
Now, thankfully without college largesse, the wannabe 'networkers' are seeking alternative funding
Some whiner says 'the Texas anti-DEI law makes marginalized communities feel unwanted on campus.'
.
.
Perhaps if some people spent less time on activities designated for only their own ethnicity, they might feel less "unwanted!"
