We're a bit excited.
Well me and small boy are excited.
Himself and large boy are chilled as usual.
We're all going away for the long weekend and a couple of extra days with my family, to North Yorkshire. My parents have booked a cottage and we're staying there with them and my brother and his wife.
We've got plans for food, hot tub, prosecco, fresh air, cheese, cuddles, board games, a pub lunch, and lots of catching up.
Small boy is bouncing off the walls with impatience waiting to see his grandparents. I'm hoping that my brother and his wife will enjoy getting to know large boy now that he's almost grown up. They aren't much into little kids, but large boy is very sure he's an adult in waiting and can have a proper conversation now. OK so his favourite topic is Fortnite and that'll be meaningless to them.
I'm just looking forward to some wholesome quality time with my parents. Himself is in need of a break and just to do very little for a while.
Once we're back from the cottage, we'll have the luxury of a couple of days at home doing nothing (maybe Alton Towers?) before the weekend rugby kicks back in.
