Relationships Rights and Legal Pluralism: The Inadequacy of Marriage Laws in Europe (Routledge, 2025) (forthcoming), edited by Mateusz Stępień and Anna Juzaszek (Jagiellonian University) "brings together leading social and legal scholars to tackle the incompatibility of marriage laws with contemporary social reality in Europe." "The third part of the book features empirical research on the marital experiences of two communities: Muslims and migrants. The chapters concentrate on polygyny among female converts to Islam, the importance of religious knowledge for practising Muslim women in securing rights in their marital relationships, transnational and interreligious marriages, and the impact of acculturative orientation and position in the dual labour market on the choice of life partner among Polish migrant women."
Nigerian Land Law and Custom (Routledge, 2024, original publication 1951) by T. Olawale Elias, recently republished, is described as "an excellent comparative study of the whole system of land tenure in Nigeria."

On Islam and Data Science

In "Effect of Shariah compliance on financing decisions: empirical evidence from GCC" (Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research, January 2, 2024), Omar Ikbal Tawfik (Dhofar University, Oman) and Hamada Elsaid Elmaasrawy (Tanta University) "examine the effect of companies' Shariah compliance (SC) debt financing decisions, financing with retained earnings (REs), cash holdings, capital expenditures and dividend pay-out policies."
