Organizational History Network The University of Salford archives would like to make business and management historians aware of one of their collections, the Revans Collection for Action Learning. Reginald Revans (1907-2003) was an academic and business consultant who pioneered the idea of ‘action learning’. He successfully applied this model in many fields including coal mining, business, manufacturing, economy, healthcare and education. Part of this collection has recently been digitised and is available to view online on the Salford Digital Archives website. This digital collection contains flipchart pages of hand-drawn graphs, tables and diagrams which Revans used during his lectures. These brightly-coloured, detailed drawings are an insight into Revans’ meticulous mind and thorough approach to business. All of these flipcharts, along with two videos of Revans being interviewed, can now be viewed online here. If you are interested in the collection and want to learn more about it, please get in touch with the Archivist at the University of Salford at library-archives@salford.ac.uk.
