Bombay does not have much of a winter. However, this year has been slightly different. We have foggy mornings, a nip in the air late evening, and occasionally, I see someone on a morning walk wearing a sweater.
We welcome the lowered temperatures, as we don't need air-conditioning. Fabrics like corduroy, velvet, tweed vie for attention, and jackets find a place in wardrobe planning. Woolen garments are only meant for travel.
The family looks forward to barbecues and bowls of hot soup, to be enjoyed without sweating.
