I got up today and went to the gym which is my normal Saturday morning routine. Today it was not so much for the workout as I have been going every morning for the last week for a short workout but mainly to take a shower as my water heater went out last weekend. Today they are coming to replace it though. I won't dwell on this too much though. The hot water man arrived about 11am and I was a little disappointed. When I ordered the new water heater and replacement for today the lady taking the order asked me all the questions including about my breaker box and how my old one was hooked up and I told her it was on a duel 20-amp circuit. Well the man who came to install it told me I need a duel 30-amp circuit and the wiring in my house would not handle the 5500-watt heater and I would need to downsize to a 4500-watt heater. So if you are wondering where I am going with this is no I still have no hot water and need to get an electrician out to look at it. yes I could change the circuit breaker myself but I don't know about the wire size and if that needs to be redone, which I can't do. So the bottom line is I will be without hot water a while longer. Being the weekend there is nothing I can do. This is when I decided I would go to the Escape tonight as I needed some fun.
It was after 2:30 when I started getting ready and yes I took my time as I enjoy transforming myself and doing my makeup and always makes me feel good. I did a more neutral eye look with browns and pinkish red lipstick. I also wore my short salmon colored summer dress. It was a cute look and suitable for daytime. I was ready a little after 3:30 so I figured I would stop at the Starbucks right by my house and work on my blog from last Sunday. I thought about sitting outside but it was a little windy and that messes up a wig, yes this is the one bad thing about wearing a wig. I got my drink and worked on my blog. Now this Starbucks is less than a ½ mile from my house and I do occasionally see people here I know and today I saw 2, one was a neighbor who I don't know that well but I am sure they know about me as they see me drive by all the time. The other was a guy I used to volunteer with. Now I was working on y computer so not really looking up so I doubt they would recognize me. It is amazing when you think about it, if I am looking down at my computer I really doubt anyone would recognize me as they really can't see my face that well. I stayed here till a little after 5 before heading to the scape. Now I knew Jan and Lyn would be there about 7:30 but one other girl said she would probably make it and usually comes earlier.
I got to the Escape and parked right in front; they were not busy, which is always nice. I did bring my computer in for something to do till others arrived. I ordered dinner and posted my blog from Sunday and started on my Wednesday night dinner blog from Thai Bloom. The food was good as always and a little after 6 the one girl posted she would not make it so most likely it will be just me till Jan and Lynn show up. I talked briefly with the 2 bar tenders, Nicole and Red and also Trixie who brought my food out about how busy it was last week. They told me it was one of the Escapes busiest nights with the huge crowd that was here but also they really didn't make that much more in tips for the night. Now yes they did have 9 people working instead of the normal 4 but still with the sheer number of people there they should have still done better the that. I finished my blog from Wednesday night's dinner which I will post tomorrow and then played on my computer and watched the baseball game on TV. It is funny as my male self I really don't watch sports on TV, yes years ago I would watch the Mariners play with my dad but that was it. most of the sports I watch is now as Susan when I am out at the Escape or when Cassandra used to have her super bowl parties. It was a relaxing time.
Jan and Lyn showed up about 7:30 and it was nice to see them. Yes I have no issue going to Starbucks, shopping or even dinner by myself as Susan but I am still a little uneasy about being at a bar by myself and that has nothing to do with being Susan. They ordered dinner and sat down to join me. It was nice to see them and it gave me someone to talk with. The bad thing is a little before 8 the lady who does karaoke showed up and even though she didn't start till 8:30 she got the music going and it got a little loud and harder to talk. By 8:30 it did get a little busier but still a small crowd tonight. Karaoke started and yes Lynn sang and did a great job as always. It is fun to listen to people sing but hard to talk. It was about 9:30pm when I paid my bill and called it a night. It was nice to go out for a while today.
