Welcome to The Whiffler!Cherie recently moved you from another platform to The Whiffler, hosted on Substack. New posts will be automatically delivered to you via email or via the Substack app. I walked into the year 2025 with my mind set on creating new beginnings. I told myself that this would be the year where I’d fight and prioritize my happiness. This would be the year, where I’d truly learn how to appreciate my efforts and everything I’ve achieved so far, instead of feeling ashamed of it or pushing it aside. Most importantly, though, this would be the year that I would stop waiting around for the “right time” and start pursing my passion in writing. Of course, it’s…definitely not as easy as it sounds. With no real connections and no clear path within that industry, I find myself wandering through the vast, often bewildering landscape of this wide world of writing. For months, I’ve explored it all, from freelance writing, non-fiction, fiction, to copywriting, you name it. Never in my life have I ever felt this overwhelmed and I’ve been through law school. In the end, I kept returning to The Whiffler, a blog I started back during the pandemic. Somehow, it’s still the thing that feels most like home, to me. But I want more. I want to expand it, turn it into something bigger one day. Who knows? Maybe even a proper publication one day, an open space where people can share their lives, their stories and their truths. Growing up, I’ve never had the proper platform to talk about these things until I found blogging. And I know what it’s like, to be an aspiring writer and not have the portfolio nor the credibility to get to where you want to. So feel free to send me your submissions, if you have any, through my email and details provided. I hope one day, I could turn this into a platform for aspiring writers like me, who are simply searching for a place to breathe and be heard. Without further ado, here it is… The new, the evolved, the one and only… The Whiffler. Sincerely, Cherie. The Whiffler is free today. But if you enjoyed this post, you can tell The Whiffler that their writing is valuable by pledging a future subscription. You won't be charged unless they enable payments. |
