It’s been a while since we gave you any updates on the Autistic Substance Use Network. This is largely because we have all been busy working, and currently there are only three of us. I (David) have been working on a number of things that may be relevant to people interested in ASUN. New Sober Living BlogI have created a side project where I write about sobriety and review alcohol free alternatives. If this is something that interests you, you can read my blogs on sobriety and neurodivergence by clicking below. The Ecosystemic Model Of DistressI have been developing and growing a concept building on Luke Beardon's golden equation of: Autism + Environment = Outcome I call it the ecosystemic model, and it demonstrates how our wellbeing is the outcome of multiple environments interacting within a broader human ecosystem. Click below to read my article demonstrating the structure of this model in an easy to digest way. New Course For Families, Parents, And CarersI have been working with Helen Edgar to develop a new on-demand course around supporting Autistic people for families, parents, and carers. This course will be both a book and a pre-recorded video course on NeuroHub. Here is a sneak peek at the cover to the book. Click the button below it to check out the NeuroHub community where the on-demand course will be free to paying NeuroHub subscribers and available for purchase by all others.
