I have just published a conceptual analysis of how we understand human distress called "The Ecosystemic Model". This model builds on the concept of "Autism + Environment = Outcome" to show how our wellbeing is the result of multiple environments interacting within a broader ecosystem. This challenges the mental health system that seems our adults, children, and young people as broken, instead shining a light on the systems own contribution to suffering.
