Turning Points in Economic and Business History51st Annual Conference of the Economic and Business History SocietyThe 51st annual conference of the Economic and Business History Society will be held in Tysons Corner, Virginia—just minutes from Washington, D.C.—from May 28 to May 30, 2026. Coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, this year’s theme, “Turning Points in Economic and Business History,” invites reflection on the transformative episodes that have shaped businesses, economies, markets, and institutions across time and place. We are pleased to announce that the conference keynote address will be delivered by John Joseph Wallis, Mancur Olson Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland, a leading scholar of American public finance and constitutional development.
