A Note from HP:
As of January 2026, Blessed Bee is now officially my full-time job (you know, in addition to being a solo parent, unpaid community-based ministry intern, volunteer YARN chaplain, being chronically online, giving my dog all the cuddles she needs in a day, and being fully responsible for two neurodivergent humans and their crew of familiars.) I'm not gonna lie, the idea of fully supporting myself and my child on just the income from my small business is daunting.
Realistically, I would need to sell 200-300 t-shirts per month to make ends meet, and I'm not sure that's sustainable in this economy. What will make a huge difference is what always has so far - word-of-mouth recommendations and personal referrals from my Beloved Community.
Every time you tell a congregant where they can get UU merch, a colleague where they can find affirming styles for clergy of many faiths, or tell a stranger where you got that awesome t-shirt, you are making a direct impact for me and my family. Please continue to share the good news about Blessed Bee when you can, and keep us in mind when you have a need for stickers, t-shirts, branded items, or even a whole new brand kit or social media strategy in the coming months. (Did you know I did the logo and brand kit for The Woodlands?)
I always love having brainstorming sessions (which tend to feel more like a coffee chat) and exploring creative and fun ways to support my clients' missions and ministries in the world. As a religious professional, I understand how to work with tight budgets, governance concerns, and diverse perspectives, and I offer pre-order and sliding scale options to help make my work accessible to all communities and groups. Please feel empowered to book a free consultation directly with me via Calendly, even if you aren't entirely sure how you want your project to go. I'm always down to rumble with options to find something that works for everyone.
As always, thank you for bee-ing you, for your support, your encouragement, your feedback, and your ministries. It is a joy to work alongside and serve my Beloved Community and while I remain daunted, I am also hopeful and excited for this next chapter because you all will be there too.
