How this woman had put up with her husband's abuse for too long, how she'd had to, wait until her children are grown, and how she's bound by traditional gender role, and how the society perceived divorce, and she finally couldn't put up with it, and in that moment in time, she'd, snapped, and committed MURDER! And it's still not one moment that's caused this murder, but the accumulations of the years of never-ending abuse she'd had to, put up with, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
A sixty-three-year-old woman from Hsinbei City, was suspected of not being able to put up with the long-term abuse of her alcoholic husband, who'd finally received the approval of the restraining order she'd filed with the courts, her husband got furious, and they'd fought hard, she'd waited until he was fast asleep, then, stabbed him multiple times in the chest, and the neck, to murder him, an hour later, after she'd confirmed that he was, dead, she'd, turned herself in to the police.
Based off of understanding, the woman and her seventy-two-year-old husband had been married close to forty years, they'd bought a stay and moved from Hsinchu to Sanchong, Hsinbei City, they'd operated a barbecue shop, raised a son and a daughter up. The children started their own separate families, moved away, the couple put up their business, and retired together, living with each other.
The police investigated, the woman claimed that her husband had been an alcoholic long-term, and would verbally abuse her, or get physical on her, there'd been more than ten times when the disputes alerted the local police, even her own children consoled her to leave him. But she'd thought that she's older, that if she'd filed for divorce, or if she'd filed for a restraining order and take the issues to court, it would get ugly, and she couldn't bring shame to the families, so she'd, put up with it in silence, they'd continued living together.
The woman finally asked the courts for a restraining order this year, and, on the eleventh of last month, the courts approved, on the 24th, the courts sent the papers to the substation of where she lives, the substation on the evening of the 29th of last month called up the woman, to let her know that the restraining order is then valid, but the police didn't notify her husband.
On the evening of the 29th, the husband was drunk again, the two fought hard over the restraining order she had on him, the woman waited until midnight of the following day, waited until he was sound asleep, took a fruit knife and a butcher knife, hacked his neck, his thorax multiple times, and in about an hour, after she made sure her husband wasn't struggling anymore, at 2:36 in the morn, she'd called the police, turned herself in.
The patrol officers rushed over, found the woman, sitting alone in the living room, the husband was covered in blood, lain on the bed, no signs of life. The police arrested her, after they interrogated her, they sent her to the D.A.'s Office on murder charges.
And so, this is what happens when someone, finally, SNAPPED, after putting up with the abuse for years and years, maybe even, DECADES, and this woman was bound by the traditional gender roles too, and, she'd had to weather through long-term physical and verbal abuse from her husband, and she'd finally, SNAPPED, and committed murder.
