Autistic Pride When You Don't Feel ProudHow being proud of your identity doesn't mean it's entirely positiveI have been thinking about Autistic Pride a lot recently. Not only have I had the pre-order go live for my latest short book on the topic, I also have two Autistic Pride events coming up that I will be speaking at and selling my books. Pride is essentially the refusal to be ashamed. We don't view ourselves as superior as Autistic people, Pride is an active protest against a world that seeks to instill a sense of inadequacy into us. Society is very good at this, even now, as a staunch upholster of Autistic pride. There are days when I simply don't feel like who I am is enough.
