Publishing Historical Research in Management JournalsNew series of webinars by the BAM Management and Business History (MBH) Special Interest Group (SIG) launching in January 2026I am really excited about this — the MBH SIG at the British Academy of Management is launching a webinar series featuring scholars who publish historical research in management journals. And yes, we include business history journals in that, but our focus is wider. So we are starting with the fabulous Natalya Vinokurova and her most recent SMJ article on the Financial Crisis. The WebinarJoin us for the first MBH webinar on publishing historical research in top journals in management and business history! This interactive event will feature scholars who share their experiences of successfully positioning their historical work for key journals. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about how to develop approaches and strategies for publishing in top journals and build knowledge and skills around how to position historical research in management and business history journals. For our first event, we will be joined by Prof Natalya Vinokurova, who has published in a range of leading management and business historical journals, including Strategic Management Journal and Enterprise & Society. In this webinar, we will discuss her most recent publication in SMJ on the Financial Crisis, which is available open access here: https://sms.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/smj.3732 Please read the article in advance of the webinar for an in-depth discussion with the author and other participants.
