Tenure-track positions at CUNEF, Madrid, SpainThe Department of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) at CUNEF Universidad (https://www.cunef.edu/) invites applications for three Tenure-Track Assistant Professor positions in Political Science, and Economic and Business History, starting in the academic year 2027–28. RequirementsCandidates are required to hold a PhD in Political Science, Economic History or a related field (completed, or expected before appointment) and to demonstrate a strong ability — or clear potential — to publish in the top journals in the field (e.g., APSR, AJPS, JOP, and comparable general-interest and field outlets). What we offerCUNEF Universidad is a private university based in Madrid, Spain with a strong focus on excellence in teaching and research in the social sciences. Knowledge of Spanish is not required. It is an interdisciplinary department with a very active group of economic and business historians. We offer a very competitive salary, together with support for research and conference travel and administrative assistance for grant applications. Successful candidates will join a modern, growing university with an ambitious, research-driven culture and an international, interdisciplinary, English-language research environment. Call for Papers: Business History in Austria, Germany and Italy AGI-SymposiumThursday, April 1st 2027 Deutsche Handelskammer in Österreich / German Chamber of Commerce in Austria Schwarzenbergplatz 5 Top 3/1, 1030 Vienna Friday, April 2nd 2027Vereinigung der Österreichischen Industrie / Federation of Austrian Industries Schwarzenbergplatz 4, 1030 Vienna For the second time, a regional conference will invite the three countries Austria, Germany and Italy (AGI) to a thematic exchange in the field of business history. The format envisages three to four sections, which will take place one after the other and not in parallel, so that all participants can hear all the presentations. Thematically, this symposium is focused on specific topics of this region. The conference will comprehend on the current state and current trends in business history research in Austria, Germany and Italy. Comparative aspects between these countries form an essential component in this context. Submissions on the following topics, among others, are welcome: I. Theoretical and methodological approaches II. Thematic topics include ■ Entrepreneurship and dictatorship ■ Business history and tourism ■ Business history and the Marshall Plan ■ State influence on entrepreneurial activities and operational processes ■ Economic transformations after the Second World War
III. Archival Collections We explicitly invite colleagues from business archives to present their collections on one of the above mentioned topics to encourage researchers as well as young scholars to present their work.
